Trans Siberian railway journey, tailor made

Linking Europe and Asia, the epic Trans-Siberian
railway crosses the forested expanses of Siberia

time spent in bustling Beijing visiting the city's most
historic sights before embarking on the first leg
of this awe-inspiring journey to the heart of
Mongolia with a night spent in traditional nomadic
ger accommodation affording a real glimpse into
the lives of Mongolia's nomadic communities. Spend
time on the shores of Lake Baikal in the small
village of Listvyanka before travelling on to
mighty Moscow where you explore the city's
most famous sights by way of the Moscow Metro,
one of the most beautiful public transport systems
in the world.

 

ITINERARY

 

Day 01:

This morning you fly from London or your local airport to Beijing.

 

Day 02:

Today you arrive in Beijing. On arrival you will be met at the
airport by your driver and guide who will take you to your
hotel accommodation. The rest of the day is at leisure for
you to explore the city and relax after the flight.

 

Day 03:

Explore Beijing today with your driver and guide, visiting
Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City.

 

Day 04:

Today you drive out of the city for an excursion to the
Great Wall at Jinshanling.

 

Day 05:

This morning you join the train for your journey to Ulaan Baatar.

 

Day 06:

Today you continue your journey on the train until you
arrive in Ulaan Baatar. On arrival you will be met at
the station by your driver and guide who will take you
to your hotel accommodation. After some time to rest
you will take a tour of the city including the magnificent
Gandan Monastery with its 26 metre high golden
Buddha statue.

 

Day 07:

Travel out of the city today to the beautiful Khustai National Park
home of the Takhi Horses. Overnight in a traditional ger tent

 

Day 08:

Make your way back to the capital today via the haunting
Manzushir Khiid Monastery Ruins, once home to a city
of Buddist Monks. Evening at leisure.

 

Day 09:

A day spent at leisure exploring the Mongolian capital

 

Day 10:

Today you join the train again for your onward journey
to Russia

 

Day 11:

Continue your journey to Irkutsk. On arrival in the early afternoon
you will be met by your driver and guide who will take you to your
hotel accommodation on Lake Baikal. The rest of the day is
at leisure for you to relax after time spent on the train.

 

Day 12:

This morning you will be met at your hotel accommodation
for a tour of the town with a cruise on Lake Baikal.

 

Day 13:

Spend the morning at leisure before you travel back to Irkutsk
via the Taltsy Museum of Wooden Architecture which offers
an interesting insight into the lives of the early Siberian
settlers. Afternoon departure to Moscow.

 

Day 14 & Day 15

Spent on the train

 

Day 16:

Evening arrival to Moscow with transfer to your city centre hotel.

 

Day 17:

Walking tour of Red Square and the Kremlin Cathedrals
and Armoury using the beautiful Moscow Metro.

 

Day 18:

Morning at leisure before your flight back to the INDIA
